People buy XP operating system to give them the best functionality. They think this is all. Unfortunately, the performances of the machines do not get to their maximum. You may also need to turn off the visual effects and any other sound you do not need. These tend to lower the performance of your XP. They tale much space in the RAM and leaves you limited to the extent that useful program lack the enough space to operate. This may go alongside with the screen savers and wallpapers that always appear in your desktop. The computer is never idle and may continue processing some programs that are not useful. The automatic nature of XP operating system searching for your files does not add much to your performance. I instead it brings some collisions in the process of inquiring an information. It is recommended that you set your system to manual search mode.
Another way to make sure that your windows perform better is to add more RAM. This will ensure there is much space for the programs. The increased memory space is important for the storage and making requests to the different programs or files. A case can occur where you have more than one hard disks, the best thing to do is to move the page file. It is assumed that the second hard disk works less compared to the first hard disk.
