I’ve got e-mail proclaiming Link Emperor as the best nowadays link building software. From the first glance I liked everything, the nice web-site design and even the brand. (The last computer game I used to play seriously was Rome Total war and Link Emperor’s design is appealing to the Roman Empire).

What was surprising is high prices. Cause these prices (the screenshot is at the end of this post) are much higher than the prices of other Seo software. Ok, but Link Emperor pretended to make all linkbulding so it could substitute all the different cheaper programs. So I decided to apply for 3-day trial.Firstly I signed up to their affiliate program but it seemed so user-unfriendly so I didn’t get where to find simple affiliate link. Then I signed up for a trial, which of course did not include link building. And I found the interface of Link Emperor simple but useless comparing to other software I used (i.e. SeNuke). I wanted to try their so proclaimed in promotional video long-tail keyword research option but found nothing. Moreover their keyword gathering option seemed to be worse than existing ones I’ve seen. Why should one pay more if there are cheaper services which are more credible (Spufy, Semrush, KeywordSpy).

And their link building options seemed to show no big difference with those link building tactics I’ve seen before.

So my conclusion is that Link Emperor is designed for lazy web-entrepreneurs who don’t have time and abilities to discover other software and seo knowledge by themselves. But even for them the way Link Emperor looks could be complicated. If I consider it not very usable so the newbie could be completely lost there.

I have my windows newly installed. And I decided to download new Mozilla Firefox (5.0.1) version. And I decide to “start my web-browsing from a new blank list”. New day is like a blank new page where there is no large amount of URLs written, boormakrs, etc. etc. So I decided to write this post about my Favorite Firefox Plugins while I will be installing them once again.

1) SEO for Firefox

2) Rank Checker

The plugin from the same SEObook, which  is a perfect tool for those who are not willing to make their brains burn after complicated keyword analysis. 3) Shareaholic

If you use social bookmarking services – you need to have a sb plugin which will save lots of your time. From the existing plugins I prefer Shareaholic (like a alcoholic, hahahaha) It has all necessary sb sites I have profiles on. 4) FireFTP

5) SearchStatus

So here is my top-5 plugin list. Of course there are many useful plugins, but right now I don’t plan to install more. I keep in mind some more plugins so I may write about them in future.

How many people are waiting for the pagerank update? If we assume I think it would be a big number. Last year pagerank update was on New Year, then it was in April. I had an idea that PR update would be also on New Year this year. They could make this criteria biannual, updated randomly twice a year. But no, there is no update. For several weeks I hear from different people that update is in process. But I haven’t seen the single site with updated PR… Do you still want to keep illusions? Or would you agree with me that PageRank is dead as a criteria. Lots of people still use it while analyzing sites and will continue to use it. But for me this is outmoded rank. The guys from Google probably laugh at people’s obsession with PR. Moreover this obsession could be the main reason why they decided to forget about updating PR>

I was wondering how did nobody discover this similarity both in name and pronunciation. ‘Zwitter’ is Hermaphrodite in German language. Once I’ve made this video which has 1,585 views for this particular moment. It was uploaded on June 4th, 2009. So this amount of views is quite small, taking to the account that twitter remained a trend for all this time.

Hello once again. As you can see – the previous post was my old seo article. It is very-very old. I didn’t even had it on my laptop, only on the old hard drive which I don’t use for a long time. I’ve found it accidentally on my gmail account. I think that almost every active internet user can find lots of interesting information while browsing your mail. WordPress offers two opportunities for the web-community. The easier choice is WordPress.com – you can start own blog in two minutes and have address like your_name.wordpress.com. The other one is WordPress.org where you can download this free software and install in whatever you want. Both for personal blogs and for commercial sites I recommend to buy nice-looking domain (which in ideal must represent those topics or services which you offer) and hosting. In WordPress.com page you’ll have very limited possibilities, so in this article I won’t focus on it. This kind of blog I will recommend only for those who have littler or no experience in blogging and web-design. I’m sure most of you are familiar with WordPress platform, however there are may aspects which may seem invisible or even ordinary but they really help for the search engine optimization of your site.

Most popular pages, keywords by which your site is clicked – you need to need to know this and similar information to increase your audience, target more and more users and have good SERPs.

When the links are just rolling in

In WordPress platform which is designed for blogs and blog-like looking sites there is a special feature Blogroll. In few seconds you can add any link you want, i.e. link of the blog you like, link of the sponsor or partner. That’s why it would be easier for you to obtain inbound links to your site. Bookmarking which I’ve already mentioned also will seriously increase the number of your backlinks. Of course it the content will be valuable. WordPress cannot provide unique and interesting content for you, but it helps you to present it structured and neat both for visitors and for search engine spiders.

AdSense usability

A lot bloggers have Adsense or other type of advertising on their sites. Even commercial sites for which AdSense will never be main part of revenue have these adds. Why won’t you monetize the value of you site? WordPress has many plugins designed for AdSense, which will help you manage your adds efficiently and effectively. In example, you can choose either to place you adds above or below your post, choose which post you don’t want to show adds, etc. All these modifications will take just few clicks and you will save your time and earn more money. These moment I’ve chosen to start our discussion. As you see I like WordPress but I never make idols. With the same pleasure I will discover if other platform will overwhelm the achievements of WordPress. I think it would be really helpful to look at every web-site software, CMS, platform with SEO-concern. Such view is not for everyone, but it is necessary for SEO-experts. What do you think when the Google domination would stop? I don’t mean it should be considered as some goal. No, not at all. But the internet is changing rapidly and dramaticly. New ideas, new projects and new companies could change Google’s monopoly. But when? Now Google’s profits grow and so do their products and services. I.e. I really like Google Buzz, I must acknowledge I like it even more than twitter. Yes, I have more than 6 000 followers in Twitter, but almost nobody from this long list ever visits my blog! And in Google Buzz – when I share some link I assume that 10-15 people click (and I have no more than 30 followers)

This blog has got PR 2 and I need to say that I’ve completely forgot about maintainin this blog and writing.. so I didn’t build links at all. Just one friend put several links and that’s all. Last time I got no visitors at all!

But the good news are that I’ve got PR 2 with no efforts at all

At one of my web-sites (not this one) I’ve received spam comment. Actually I’ve received millions of spam comments, messages, links, etc. during my web-life.
But this one captured my attention! Here it is:

i am just a spam comment, of course you can delate me but please, kill me fast ! I know that people dont like me, but i dont care, because i am no emo or fuckin pokemon. so please MTV, let my words stay at live !

Yes, I’ve killed him fast as he (or she or it) requested. But I really appreciate the sense of humor of that seo copywriter (or anyone) who wrote it for a spam bot. It made me smile.

I must acknowledge that the last time I’ve stopped to follow the seo tendencies, new sites, ideas, projects, et cetera and et cetera.
I’m still sure that links, good quality links – is the main thing in seo. Links are not equal, they differ by many criterias and I think I have good seo intuition to distinguish wheather the link is good, not so good and shit link.
There is no equality in the world, there is not equality in the web as well!
